The Apostle Paul understood how important the resurrection is to our faith. Without the resurrection, we are without hope. The resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ proves that His work of atonement is finished – God has accepted His sacrifice for sin, and we have been made alive in Christ. Because Christ has been raised, we know that we also will rise! Just as death could not hold Him, it has no power over the believer in Christ. The resurrection shows the power of God over sin, the devil, and death itself. It is important for us to know and profess “The Essential Resurrection” (1 Corinthians 15:12-28).
