Overcoming the World

Topic: AM Service Passage: John 16:28–33
As Jesus comes to the conclusion of His final discourse with His disciples, He gives them great hope. He reminds them of who He is and what He came to do. He reminds them of their own weakness and reassures them that their hope does not rest in what they can or will do. He tells them to “take heart,” that is, not to be troubled because He will win the victory. Our great hope is in knowing that it is Jesus who is “Overcoming the World” (John 16:28-33).
