Do Not Be Troubled

Topic: AM Service Passage: John 14:25–31
The world is a troubling and dangerous place. Much of our lives is spent trying to find a reprieve from trouble. We seek call and relief from sickness, conflict, and threats. Our Lord Jesus understands this, and He has taught us that this results from a sin-cursed world. But He also teaches us that He came to conquer sin and bring us true and genuine peace. Peace is more than the absence of conflict – it is the sense of wholeness and calm that comes from knowing we are safe and blessed. Jesus tells us that He gives that kind of peace, a peace that the world can never give. He tells us to stop pursuing the fraudulent peace of the world and seek Him instead. He tells us, “Do Not Be Troubled” (John 14:25-31).
