See and Go to the Father by Jesus

Topic: AM Service Passage: John 14:7–14
Who is God? What is He like? What things does He love and what does He hate? These and similar questions have been asked by mankind throughout the ages. One might even say that many want to know who God is before they will consider believing in Him! People have tried to imagine God in their own image, deciding that God is just like they are and that He has all the same preferences that they do. But in John’s Gospel, the Lord Jesus Christ gives us a better, truer answer. He says, “Whoever has seen me has seen the Father.” In that short sentence, Jesus not only lays claim to Deity, He tells us that we can really and truly know God through Him. Jesus is not just God’s messenger to the world; He is God who has come into the world. We are called by the Scriptures to “See and Go to the Father by Jesus” (John 14:7-14).
