Jesus: Name Above All Names
December 24, 2023 Speaker: Fred Greco Series: Christmas
Topic: AM Service Passage: Matthew 1:18–25
Who is Jesus? And what did He come to do? These are perhaps the most important questions of all time, and they come to the forefront as we approach Christmas. Christmas is not the story of sentimentality and vague notions of “goodness” – rather, it is the story of “Godness” and how the Son of God became man to save sinners. We can get a true sense of our Lord and Savior from looking at the story of His names. The prophet Isaiah and the angel tell us that the Savior is Immanuel, “God with us,” and Jesus, “the Lord is salvation.” As we approach Christmas, let us remember “Jesus: Name Above All Names” (Matthew 1:18-25)
