The Plan to Kill Jesus
July 9, 2023 Speaker: Fred Greco Series: John
Topic: AM Service Passage: John 11:45–57
One of the things that we see in the gospel accounts is that Jesus prompted strong responses from the people with whom He interacted. Any view of Jesus as a plain, inoffensive teacher contradicts the facts. Jesus taught sharp truth and made bold claims. In response, some “believed in Him,” and others “made plans to put Him to death.” As He approached the last weeks before His crucifixion, Jesus had just such responses. Raising Lazarus from the dead was a sign that could not be ignored. So the Pharisees and the chief priests convened and made “The Plan to Kill Jesus” (John 11:45-57).
