One of the most prominent things the Bible makes clear to us is the love of Jesus Christ for His people. At the same time, it can be difficult to see that love when our eyes are clouded by suffering and difficult circumstances. In John 11, we see the Lord Jesus loving Lazarus and his sisters in a remarkable way. He loves them so much that He permits a great tragedy to befall them so that He can show them the hope that He has set before them for all eternity. We must learn to trust the Savior and know He desires our good, even when we experience suffering and loss. He is the one who brings “Life from Death” (John 11:1-16)
