The Lord Jesus Christ made sure that He described salvation for us with its proper emphasis – the sovereign Lord God has chosen to save a people, and by His grace, He makes them His own. In John 10, we have some of the clearest expressions of that truth. Jesus tells that He knows His sheep and that those who believe are from among His sheep. He also gives great words of comfort to those who follow Jesus. He promises that they will never perish and that “No One Will Take Them from Me” (John 10:19-29).
