Lord of the Temple

Topic: AM Service Passage: John 2:13–22
So often, we think we know all there is to know about Jesus. But the truth is that because Jesus is God, He is also the perfect man. Jesus always acts perfectly; He always displays perfect emotions; and He always makes perfect decisions. While we may be surprised to see Jesus going through the temple area with a whip driving out the merchants and money-changers, we must realize that He was entirely correct in doing so and did so with righteous anger. This incident also reminds us that Jesus is not only the Lamb of God – He is also the Lion of Judah! And for this, we are thankful because our Savior is never intimidated and never defeated. Our Jesus is the “Lord of the Temple” (John 2:13-22).
