This text may be a less familiar Psalm to many. However, after studying it, one might say that this is the “great commission” Psalm! It recognizes God’s kingly rule over the earth, and it is praying for His righteous and sovereign rule to extend over the nations! And while we have the blessed privilege of seeing how Christ death, resurrection, and ascension ushered in the dawn of the fulfillment of this Psalm, we know there is still work to be done! We too, should join our voices with the Psalmist, praying that the NATIONS would hear the gospel, that they would obey the gospel, and that they would rejoice as they learn of the glorious ways of King Jesus!

I. Seeking the blessing of the King-that His way may be known
II. Seeking the rule of the King-that the nations might rejoice in Him
III. Rejoicing in the blessing of the King-that the ends of the earth might fear Him
