In Wrath Remember Mercy (Isaiah 62-64)
May 24, 2026 Speaker: Fred Greco Series: Isaiah
Passage: Isaiah 62:1– 64:12
The mercy of God is rooted in the finished work of Jesus Christ. We must remember that Jesus came to save us from the wrath of God, the due judgment for our sins. This should keep two things before our eyes: first, that our standing before God depends only on what Jesus has done, not on who we are; and second, that unless a person comes to the Lord Jesus Christ in faith, the wrath of God remains on him (cf. John 3:36). So we should be thankful for our rescue and motivated to tell everyone we can about the grace found in Christ. Remembering who we were outside of Christ and what God has done is the true motivation for prayer. We can cry out to God, “In Wrath, Remember Mercy” (Isaiah 62:1-64:12).
