The Restorer of Israel (Isaiah 48:1-49:26)

Topic: AM Service Passage: Isaiah 48:1– 49:26
One of the problems we have as sinners is that we can swing from opposite poles of self-confidence and despair. At times, we are sure we don’t need God and that we can handle all our problems ourselves. Then there are times when we are lost in a sense of our own sin. Isaiah comes to us and shows us the true path: that we are sinners, stubborn in our depravity, but the Lord is even more persistent (stubborn, if you will) in His grace. He does not give up on His people, but instead He redeems them from their sin and misery. He does this through the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ. He is “The Restorer of Israel” (Isaiah 48:1-49:26).
