No God But God (Isaiah 44:6-28)

February 8, 2026 Speaker: Fred Greco Series: Isaiah

Topic: AM Service Passage: Isaiah 44:6–28

What kind of foolishness does it take to reject the Creator of the universe, the Lord God? Isaiah gives us a glimpse into this when he shows the folly of idols and idolatry. One man tries to make an idol out of iron and has to rest because he is not up to the task of making a god. Another takes a piece of a tree and uses part of it to make supper, and the other part to make a god. How could anyone hope to find deliverance from such “gods”? Isaiah speaks for the only true and living God when he writes, “I am the first and I am the last; besides me there is no god.” This is strikingly familiar to what Jesus tells us about Himself in Revelation chapter 1. The prophet wants us to know that there is “No God but God.” (Isaiah 44:6-28)
