The Lord Our Savior (Isaiah 43:1-44:5)

Topic: AM Service Passage: Isaiah 43:1– 44:5
How is it that horribly sinful people can stand before a holy God? The Lord is light and in Him is no darkness at all (1 John 1:5), and He is of purer eyes than to see evil and cannot look upon wrong (Hab. 1:13). So when Isaiah declares that God’s people are deaf and blind, and that the Lord will pour out His anger upon them, what hope do we have? As he so often does, the prophet says that our hope is not in our reformation or our obedience, but in the gracious covenant love that the Lord has committed to us. We can “fear not” because the Lord has redeemed us and is with us through the trials of life. Isaiah tells you to put your trust in “The Lord Our Savior” (Isaiah 43:1-44:5).
