The Lost Return (Isaiah 27:1-13)

August 17, 2025 Speaker: Fred Greco Series: Isaiah

Topic: AM Service Passage: Isaiah 27:1–13

Throughout his book, Isaiah sets forth two ends for all people. There are those who refuse to come to the Lord and insist on trusting in themselves. For them, all that remains is “a fearful expectation of judgment” (Hebrews 10:27). Then there are those who experience the discipline of God and are brought to repentance, faith, and trust in Him. For them, the suffering they experience is but a “light momentary affliction” (2 Cor. 4:17) that is “not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed” (Romans 8:13). In chapter 27, Isaiah breaks out again in song to emphasize the work of the Lord in bringing His people back to Himself and destroying their idols. It is glorious for us to hear of when “The Lost Return” (Isaiah 27:1-13).
