The prophet Isaiah brings God’s Word to his contemporaries, and by the inspiration and preservation of the Holy Spirit, to us today. He has brought words of judgment and words of hope. He calls sinful people to repent and return to the Lord. He has seen and described the holy, holy, holy Lord. And now Isaiah puts a song in the mouths of the redeemed. Psalm 107 says, “Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom He has redeemed from trouble.” Isaiah strikes a similar note when he writes, “You will say in that day… behold, God is my salvation.” Isaiah tells you to sing not only about what the Lord has done for you but to declare His greatness to all the world.
