A Meal with Jesus

Topic: AM Service Passage: John 21:1–14
Jesus had told the disciples to go to Galilee and wait for Him. In the number of His disciples were fishermen, including Peter. So the disciples set out onto the sea of Galilee, where many of our Lord’s miracles were performed. As the day arose, a scene reminiscent of one three years earlier occurred: a man told them to cast their empty nets out, and they returned filled with fish! John recognizes Jesus, and Peter leaps into the water to go to Him. A breakfast fire is laid out, and the disciples are once again with Jesus. The entire scene is a reminder of Jesus’ care for His disciples, and it is also a picture of the future ministry of the Church. We will learn from “A Meal with Jesus” (John 21:1-14).
