Jesus Appears to Mary
October 13, 2024 Speaker: Fred Greco Series: John
Topic: AM Service Passage: John 20:11–18
The work of the Lord Jesus Christ encompassed more than justification of His people. Jesus brought forgiveness and justification so that His people could be brought into God's family and become His children. This relationship, along with the tenderness of the Savior, is seen in John’s second resurrection episode. John shows us a despondent Mary Magdalene still at Jesus’ tomb. She is so distraught that even the sight of angels cannot break through the fog surrounding her. But with a word – calling her name, “Mary” – Jesus shows His great love for her. There is much we can learn about the greatness of Christ as we see when “Jesus Appears to Mary” (John 20:11-18)
