Resurrection Hope

Topic: AM Service Passage: John 20:1–10
The Gospel of John was written so that people may believe that “Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing, they may have life in His name” (John 20:31). The Gospel ends with an account of Jesus Christ’s resurrection and a description of several significant consequences of His resurrection. Jesus defeated death by rising from the grave and lives forever. His risen life has an explicit purpose, to call His people to Himself and to send them out into the world with a message of forgiveness and salvation. This message remains the same today as it was thousands of years ago – a call to sinners to put their faith and trust in the One who died to purchase forgiveness, and a call to grace and hope. What our world needs, and what we need, is “Resurrection Hope” (John 20:1-10).
