Behold the Man!

Topic: AM Service Passage: John 18:38– 19:11
Jesus is the lamb of God, slain for sinners. As John wrote early in his gospel, “He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him.” The spotless lamb of God stands before Pilate, who can find no guilt in Him – not once, not twice, but three times! Yet the Jews, spurred on by the chief priests and officers, declare that they do not want Pilate to free Jesus. Instead, they prefer the murderer and insurrectionist, Barabbas. There is great irony as Pilate declares, “Behold the Man,” speaking more than he knows. (John 18:38-19:11).
