High Priestly Prayer: Christ’s Own

Topic: AM Service Passage: John 17:9–13
In His High Priestly Prayer, Jesus prays, but not indiscriminately. He prays for those who are His, those who have been given to Him by the Father. He prays for those who are with Him and will remain in the world when He leaves after His resurrection. His prayer is that they will be kept by the Father and that they will be united. Jesus’ prayer is as relevant to us today as it was to His first disciples. Jesus wants you to be guarded, unified, and filled with joy. This is the “High Priestly Prayer: Christ’s Own” (John 17:9-13).
