The Helper

Topic: AM Service Passage: John 16:4–11
Perhaps the most significant difference between the eras of the Old and New Testaments is the coming of the Holy Spirit. Our Lord Jesus Christ promised that He would send the Spirit to His people and, most remarkably, that it would be to their advantage for Him to go away because that would be the occasion of sending the Holy Spirit. The work of the Spirit is described by Jesus as one of convicting the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. The Spirit’s witness brings truth in the place of error, hope in the place of despair, and victory in the place of defeat. It is encouraging to know that we have the presence of “The Helper” (John 16:4-11).
