Whoever Believes Has Eternal Life
Topic: AM Service Passage: John 6:37–47
The Lord Jesus Christ came to earth on a mission. It was a mission in which the Triune God was fully united – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Son of God became man so sinners would be saved and brought to God. Jesus’ work was the only possible way to reconcile broken sinners to God. When we were unable and unwilling, He was willing and able. God’s work of redemption goes beyond atoning for our sin. The Lord renews our wills and draws us to Himself with bands of love. In this passage in John 6, Jesus clarifies that all that the Father gives to the Son will come to Him and that their coming will be by believing in the Son. We have the promise that “Whoever Believes Has Eternal Life” (John 6:37-47).
