No One Like God

Topic: AM Service Passage: 2 Samuel 7:18–29
The greatest aid that we can have for trusting the Lord is to recount what the Lord has already done for us. The history of God’s faithfulness in His promises assures us that He will keep His Word. When David was presented with the astounding promise God made to establish His kingdom forever, he leaned on the truth of how far the Lord had already brought him (verse 18) and Israel (verse 23). The promise-keeping God can be trusted to bring about even the most incredible of promises. This was a lesson that Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, and so many others learned. It is a lesson that we must embrace for ourselves. David lived a very long time ago, but God does not change. There is “No One Like God” (2 Samuel 7:18-29)
I. Praise for the God of Grace
