In Philippians 3, the Apostle Paul draws a sharp distinction between those who fixate on the state of the world and all it pretends to offer and those who know that their “Citizenship is in Heaven” (Phil. 3:20-21). We are called to look to the Lord Jesus Christ as our great hope and Savior. When we realize our hope is in Christ and that He has redeemed us, even the trials and difficulties of this life are put into perspective.
