Mark 14:43-52 shows us Christ; betrayed, deserted, and alone, as his disciples forsake him in the hour of his arrest. Judas betrays the Lord with a kiss and a title of respect, “Rabbi”. Peter initially responds with violence, cutting off the ear of the servant of the high priest. Even a young unnamed man leaves our Lord. In the end, Jesus is left all alone with his false accusers.
