Power in Weakness
February 28, 2021 Speaker: Fred Greco Series: 2 Corinthians
Topic: AM Service Passage: 2 Corinthians 13:1–4
Where do we find strength? All around us, we are advised to rid ourselves of any weakness, any shortcoming, any flaw. We are told that we will never accomplish what we want or achieve our dreams unless we refused to be weighed down by weakness. This is the voice of our culture and society, but it is not the voice of the gospel. The gospel tells us that we are weaker than we think we are, and we must rejoice in our weakness. We do this because we know that the Lord is strong, and He makes His strength known in our weakness. As he concludes his letter to the Corinthians, Paul reminds them of this central truth. He shows them that Jesus Christ modeled, and we must pursue, “Power in Weakness” (2 Corinthians 13:1-14).
