Matthew begins his account of the life of Christ by giving us the genealogy of Christ beginning with Abraham. Luke begins his gospel with the parents of John the Baptist. John begins in eternity past, showing us the divinity of the Lord Jesus. Mark begins his account with the gospel. What is the gospel and what does it have to do with Christmas? Christmas is all about the gospel, and there is no better time than Christmas to consider this.
