Wide-Open Hearts

Topic: AM Service Passage: 2 Corinthians 6:11–13
The Christian ministry is not just a detached exposition of theology. Ministry does include the transmission of the truth of God’s Word to others, but there is more than that. True ministry also communicates the heart – because the saving love of God creates in His children a love for God and for others. For this reason, the Apostle Paul tells the Corinthians that he has spoken boldly and freely to them, and his heart is open with love for them. The work of Jesus Christ saves sinners from the penalty of sin and gives them new life. But it also brings sinners into the family of God, where they are welcomed with “Wide-Open Hearts” (2 Corinthians 6:11-13).
