The Most Important Commandment
Topic: PM Service Passage: Mark 12:28–34
In this period between Christ’s entry into Jerusalem and His crucifixion, there are a series of interactions between Christ and the Jewish leaders. While previous encounters had been antagonistic toward Christ, the one in this text seems more positive. Here a scribe comes asking Jesus, “Which commandment is the most important of all?” Jesus’ answer is very instructive, as He summarizes the law and shows us how much we need a Savior.
