Topic: AM Service Passage: Romans 12:12
Does being a Christian make a practical difference in everyday living? How should a Christian face adversity and difficult circumstances? While it makes sense that a Christian perspective on life should be different, we must be careful not to confuse mere “positive thinking” with a Biblical perspective. In Romans 12:12, Paul gives a trio of commands to believers that encompass the hopefulness of a Biblical worldview: rejoicing in hope, enduring in tribulation, and constancy in prayer. When we are aware of the power and care of the Lord, we are better able to face life’s adversities. We trust that the Lord is in control and that ultimately, our hope is secure in the work of the Lord Jesus Christ. This is “The Marks of the Christian 3: Hopefulness” (Romans 12:12).
I. Rejoicing in Hope
II. Enduring in Tribulation
III. Constant in Prayer
