Because of disobedience, we were all born into slavery to sin. This means that many times we don’t even understand our own actions. We do not do what we want to do, but we do the very things we hate. We have sold out to sin. But the Good News of Jesus Christ is that if we have faith in Him, then we have received the Spirit of adoption. God has ransomed and adopted us into His family giving us freedom. We live in an amazing land that cherishes freedom. We love our rights, and rightfully so. But the primary thing the Lord is concerned for us to have is “Spiritual Freedom” (Romans 8:12-18)
