The Apostle Peter was a fervent follower of Jesus. Peter seemed to do everything big - he walked out on water, confessed that Jesus was the Christ, and preached Jesus as the only way of salvation. But Peter was also a sinner in need of grace; a man who denied Jesus at a crucial hour, but who, after running into the empty tomb, was restored by Jesus. Peter took all these experiences and the teachings of our Lord and used them for the benefit of his flock. He taught the Church of Jesus Christ that all of our hope is found in the One who did everything for us.
