Ecclesiastes Sermons
Rev. Fred Greco
Ecclesiastes is often misunderstood as the ravings of a depressed and godless man. “Vanity of vanities, all is vanity!” we hear the preacher (Solomon) cry, and assume that all is hopeless. But nothing could be further from the truth. Ecclesiastes is actually an effective antidote to the hopelessness and lack of meaning in modern life. Life is meaningless, Solomon says, if you are focused on the wrong things. But when we turn our eyes to Christ, we find meaning, life and beauty.
