Women's Ministry (WIC)
Let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God’s sight is very precious.
(1 Peter 3:4)
The Women’s Ministry at Christ Church (Women in the Church, or "WIC") is a place where women are encouraged to use their gifts in equipping other women, raising children, and serving in the Church. Women are an essential part of a vibrant church, and Christ Church is no exception. WIC provides opportunities for mentorship, prayer support, and fellowship for the ladies of Christ Church. From Bible studies, to movie nights, to service projects, WIC brings women together to serve and build deep relationships. We invite you to be a part of the Women's Ministry - if you have any questions, please contact our WIC leadership team through the church office.
Ladies’ Bible Study
Every other week, on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 PM and on Thursday mornings at 10:00 AM, the ladies of Christ Church gather together to study and learn from the Scriptures. Whether you are new to the Bible, or have studied in depth for years, there is a place for you to grow and learn in our study. This fall, our ladies are studying the book of Proverbs, using Kathleen Nielson's book Proverbs: The Ways of Wisdom.
Ladies’ Fellowship
Each month, WIC holds various fellowship events, typically on the Wednesday evenings on which there is no Bible Study scheduled. There are game nights, recipe sharing sessions, and times to learn from each other about parenting, marriage and other topics. The Ladies' Fellowship is a wonderful opportunity for the women of Christ Church to build and to strengthen friendships, and encourage each other in their walk with Christ. Please check our calendar for the dates and description of fellowship events.
Mercy Ministries
We seek to minister to one another in very practical ways. Meals, rides, and babysitting are just a few of the areas where we bear one another’s burdens. Agreeing to help might mean an afternoon spent in the church kitchen, together with a team of volunteers, preparing a batch of freezer meals. It might mean bringing a meal to a family who has just welcomed a new addition. If you would like to serve, we welcome your help.
Hospitality Ministries
Having a church family come alongside during times of joy as well as sorrow can certainly be a comfort. Our hospitality team coordinates showers to welcome new babies and send off new brides. We also work with bereaved families to help where needed by offering food and assistance. For a special church-wide event we are there to provide willing hands to cook, serve, and welcome our guests.
