The ministry of Christ Church began in the Fall of 1999, when a few families who had a vision for establishing a vibrant, Gospel, driven, reformed and evangelical witness in Katy, Texas, began meeting for worship at Cimarron Elementary School on Peek Road. Since then, God has, by His grace, grown Christ Church into a dynamic worshipping community that celebrates the grace of God through God centered, transformational worship, community oriented fellowship, and the proclamation, explanation, and application of the Bible.

Christ Church is a Christian church and we joyfully affirm our unity with those from other denominations and traditions that hold to the fundamentals of the Christian faith such as the existence of the Triune God, the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, vicarious death, bodily resurrection and second coming. Our fellowship is founded upon a serious commitment to these central truths of the historic Christian faith that flow out of the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, which we believe are divinely inspired, inerrant, and our only rule for matters of faith and Christian living.

Christ Church is also an unabashedly evangelical church, committed to those vital scriptural truths recaptured by the Protestant Reformation which declare salvation to be by faith alone, through grace alone, in Christ alone, understanding that in obedience to the Great Commission of Matthew 28, we must “Go and make disciples of all nations.”

Christ Church furthermore finds its historical roots in the Reformed and Presbyterian tradition, holding to those classic formulations of theological truth that came out of the Reformation and are associated with the names of the great reformers of the church.
