Good news to offset the rest
By Pastor John Carroll | October 6, 2006
The news in the mainstream media this week has been sad, at best. Here is some news that you won’t hear about on ABC but is certainly bringing joy in heaven.
Ruling elder Dave Hernandez of Hosanna Community Church (PCA) reported that his congregation closed on land and a building today. Hosanna Community began as church plant of Oaklawn Presbyterian Church in Houston in 2003. The congregation has worshipped in various rented facilities in NW Houston over the years but when their rent was recently increased substantially they began to search for anther rental location.
However the Lord had other plans for them and led them to a church building which was for sale in Tomball. The property consists of a building which seats 150 for worship and one acre plus an adjoining lot of one acre which they were able to buy. Please keep Pastor Gerald Phillips and this congregation in your prayers as they begin to worship soon in this new location.
